The air was cool against her face as she walked along the jagged beach, one paw after another walking down the sandy shore. She flicked her tail every now and then, taking in the sea scent, and savoring it. It smelt better now, ever since the oil spill had raged through her home, as well as many others. All the Clans faced death, only a handful making it through. Fortunately, Swiftstorm was still alive, her life now grapsed by the deadly liquids. Yet, there were many who had been taken into the ahdns of death. One she will always remember, too. Leostar. Although he was getting old and age was catching up to him, he was wise and looked up to. A heart of gold.
A sigh escaped her black lips as she looked up a coral rock, and with ease pounced on top and perched there. Slowly she lowered her head and looked into the sea. Memories then flooded her mind. A lot of them, too. Most of which she doesn't even remember, others were crystal clear in her mind. Most of all, she remembered him.
Wolfsoul was also most remembered in her mind. The last time she saw him was when Foxclaw went to CloudClan with four kits she has nursed. A she-cat frowned slightly. Swiftstorm wondered how much Wolfsoul must have been hurt and betrayed by his mother. Now she regretted not completely being there with him. It could have increased their bond more closer than it already is.

A cool breeze fluttered in the air, gently ruffling a silver tabby’s fur. Bright green eyes were downcast as he padded across the beach. Although the tom seemed dispirited, he was actually looking forward to a time of enjoyment. His destination was a peaceful cave his mother had taken him when he was a kit. One would think Wolfsoul was headed to that place because he missed his mother, but that was far from the truth. Ever since Foxclaw had left ReefClan because of four kits she had adopted, Wolfsoul had despised her. The Queen had forgotten about her son, and now she had already had another litter with a Cloudclanner.
A silent snarl appeared on the tom’s face as he thought of the she-cat that had nursed him, loved him until The Four had come. It was true Wolfsoul had loved the kits like family, but it was their fault and Sharkheart’s that his mother had left. Just as the silver warrior reached Pebble Cave, he noticed the sleek form a very close cat. Trotting in the she-cat’s direction, Wolfsoul cried out. “Swiftstorm, is that you?”
The tom found himself leaping onto the coral rock where his old friend and playmate sat. Glancing at the she-cat beside him, Wolfsoul felt suddenly shy. His friendship with Swiftstorm was uncertain, but the tom desperately hoped the caring she-cat.

Swiftstorm let her thing banner sway side to side to insure she could hold her balance, and she tensed her muscles for fast reflexes in case they were needed. No like anything it going to pop up anywhere randomly, so she really didn't need to worry about anything coming around and scaring her. Her hazel green eyes stared into the water, unblinking. The small current waves swirled around the edge of the rocks, and continued to do so leaving an illusion to those that looked on. Faintly, Swiftstorm could see her reflection, also. Ever since she was a kit, apprentice, and now a warrior, she has matured in age and personality. No longer was she annoying or a nuisance to her clan mates, and she grew up into a stunning female. It surprised her. Yet she wondered, did she look as gorgeous as her mother? Did she even look like her mother, or more like her father. A soft sigh passed her black lips one more time, before she closed her eyes, thinking.
A familiar voice entered into her mind, but it took her by surprise all the same. In an instant her eyes flickered open and she whipped around to face where the vocals had come from. In a few seconds her heart rate sped up, and her hairs went up in a split second. That was until she laid eyes on her long-time, close friend, Wolfsoul.
A smile curved on her maw as she relaxed her muscles and fur, and let her heart rate slow down so her body could be comfortable. "Wolfsoul, you scared ShineClan out of me." Swiftstorm said gently in a more mature voice then she had last seen her friend. For a few moments she examined her friend. It had been a few moons since she had seen him, and he grew into a very handsome tom. The she-cat felt her heart race once more as feelings reached her mind and she could almost feel her cheeks burn, but she put that aside so she can talk with her friend. "Oh wow Wolfsoul, you've grown quite handsome. A delight to the eyes," she commented as she sat on her haunches and wrapped her banner around her paws.

When Swiftstorm acted as though as she was about to be attacked, Wolfsoul smiled. The hyperactive she-cat had always been on the prowl, and she was always in the way. As kits, the two had been inseparable. Always bothering someone especially Burntpaw, Swiftstorm and Wolfsoul had created and executed many devious plans. A sad thought entered the tom’s head. Maybe that was why Foxclaw had left ReefClan. Stop it! She left because of that stupid furball Sharkheart. For a moment, Wolfsoul could feel anger boiling in his heart for the gray tom that had taken away his mother, but now was not the time for such thoughts.
When Wolfsoul heard Swiftstorm’s compliment, he could sense a great opportunity coming on. Well, of course! You kits cry when you look at them. The tom joked. He loved teasing Swiftstorm. It had been their favorite pastime when Burntpaw wasn’t around. Quickly leaping away to escape any retribution, Wolfsoul waved his tail in a taunting fashion. Bet you can’t catch me!! With that, he bounded away.

The she-cat softly giggle, as she remember how the two acted when they were littles. Not a care in the world how everyone else looked at then, they had fun. So them, that was all the mattered. During that time the two bonded and became the best of friends. When it was time to sleep, they'd lay on top of each other, when it was feeding time they ate the same stuff. Constantly doing things together.
Swiftstorm wrinkled her nose for a moment, as Wolfsoul's comment reached her auds. She laughed, and then as he bolted off into a run, Swiftstorm lowered her chest to the ground and raised her rump in the air, and quickly she launched herself to chase her life-long friend.
There was a reason she had the word Swift in her name. She was a sprinter, and this run was flaunting it off. With her small, yet muscled body, she can run long distances, and incredibaly quick, too.
A smirk was plastered on her maw as she was catching up to Wolfsoul. "Run, boy!" Swftstorm chided to him as the wind past her ears, creating a whistling sound rush past.

[orange]The yowling from the two friends woke a young presence in the cave. Two orange tabby ears perked up into view above a small boulder. They twitched for a second and then a small tom poked his head above it, looking as if he was just sleeping a second ago. He gave a huge yawn and looked around curiously. He soon caught sight of the Swiftstorm and Wolfsoul, playing a sort of game. Tag? Eh. Bravepaw blinked for a few seconds and gave a big mischeivous grin. He jumped up onto the boulder and cleared his throat. Then, sounding like a wise, professional said, "Ah, young love. Tis' like a beautiful rose blossom in winter. Such a beautiful sight." He then started laughing loudly, his voice echoing off the walls of the cave. The young apprentice looked over his shoulder and called, "Yo, Silverpaw, check this out! Swiftstorm's gettin' cozy wit' Wolfsoul!" He chuckled evily as he gave the two warriors a suggestive smirk.

[teal] A silver bundle of silky fur lay beside the spot where Bravepaw had just been. She dragged herself up and stalked around the boulder, yawning tiredly. "What now Smart-one?" The older apprentice blinked and gazed at the two cats with annoyance swimming in her eyes. She blinked, and then turned to the orange tabby tom with a scowl. "It's not a big deal loser." She gave another yawn, and sat down, curling her feathery tail over her paws and giving Bravepaw an emotionless stare. "Cats play tag all the time. You beg me to play all the time as well. Not that i'd ever play such a pointless, foolish game..." She gave her friend one lat glare before padded on, looking for a puddle of water to drink from. She walked with a prance, as if she owned the place. [/teal]
