A gray tabby lay curled in a small nest inside the Medicine Den, her pelt twitching occasionally as she dreamed.
A silver furred Queen gently washed the figure a a small gray kit. Lilypaw ran towards the pair, struggling to come closer to the she-cat and kit. Everytime the apprentice came close enough to see the faces of the small family, she would find herself back where she began.
Suddenly, the image dissolved, leaving the young cat in a black void. A cry of surprise escaped the gray cat as she tried to escape the darkness that enveloped her. "Do not run, Little One. You are safe." The feline voice sounded behind the tabby. Whipping around, Lilypaw stared at the she-cat that had spoken. The same Queen that had washed the gray kit before now stood before her, her silvery pelt littered with stars.
Green eyes stared at the apprentice, full of kindess and a hint of love. The love that Lilypaw detected in gaze unsettled her. The silvery Queen approached the young cat, her voice strong, yet kind. "Gray as a rainstorm; Dark as a Cloud; Lost to the Sea; Lost to me; Find the kit that's now grown; Reveal to them their past;" The Queen's eyes softened as she pressed her silvery nose against the cat's nose. Cold surged through the apprentice's body as the scene escaped her grasp.
Lilypaw jumped up, her eyed wild with fright. Never had her dreams been so vivid before. Cold still clung to her soft pelt, and the Queen's soft voice still echoed in her head. It was obvious for Lilypaw that this was an assignment from ShineClan, but why it was important was beyond her. Why was she given such an assignment be given to her and not a fully trained Medicine Cat? Lilpaw shook her head with wonder. Now what should she do? Go back to sleep or do something else? Maybe she could talk to Citrinepaw about it. The idea of confiding to her orange sister helped Lilypaw think straighter. She felt that she could trust the stubborn tabby even if Swirlpaw or Lizardpaw couldn't.

As if summoned, the orange apprentice strutted into the room. She had been restless since her nightmare earlier in the day, and couldn't sleep. Citrinepaw had planned on sneaking some herb out of the medicine cat's den, but she hadn't expected her sister to be awake. Caught in the act, the orange cat flicked her tail. "Erm. Good, uh, night Lilypaw?" She asked, not sure what to say.

Lilypaw looked up to see the familiar form that was Citrinepaw. Just seeing her younger sibling helped to calm the shaken apprentice. Trying to seem like everything was alright, Lilypaw began cleaning her fur. She didn't mean to act shy, but the dream was still vivid on her mind. Unused to the quiet around her, the gray tabby looked up at her sister hopefully. "Citrinepaw, can I tell you something? Something that Lizardpaw and Swirlpaw can't know?"
The gray apprentice's voice wavered as she fought to keep her composure. Gray as a rainstorm; Dark as a Cloud; Lost to the Sea; Lost to me; Find the kit that's now grown; Reveal to them their past; Those words remained her in her mind, urging her to follow the silver queen's instructions. Her paws itched with the need to run across the beach, to feel the warm sand between her toes, but her duty as a Medicine Cat apprentice was being tested.

(*cracks knuckles* I haven't RPed in like, 2 weeks or so, lemme restore my muse!)
The uncomfortable atmosphere was beginning to show, for the young orange cat. The fur along her spine bristled, but she was glad it was Lilypaw who caught her up and around in the night. Citrinepaw didn't trust any of her other siblings with secrets. It seemed that Lilypaw didn't either, when she added the don't tell lizardpaw and swirlpaw.
A little more relaxed, Citrinepaw nodded. "Sure. I wouldn't trust those two loud mouths with anything." She laughed and turned her head. "So whats up, you got something on your mind?" Even though she had asked, the green eyed cat knew the answer already, she could sense restlessness in her sister. It was very similar to the restlessness Citrinepaw had experienced earlier.
